Wherever you see a brochure rack, you’re looking at a perfect “old world” example of a venue that’s ready and willing to advertise for other businesses that share their audience.
Here at ScreenScape we like to think that the concept of networked communities is creating a whole new category for digital signage. But there are plenty of analogies out there that pre-date Web 2.0. Whenever I’m asked for proof-of-life of the existence of signage “communities”, I point to: the brochure rack.

How many times have you seen one of these? Hotel lobbies, info centres, restaurants, musuems, theatres, trade shows, pretty much any tourist venue... Wherever you see a brochure rack, you’re looking at a perfect “old world” example of a venue that’s ready and willing to advertise for other businesses that share their audience.
(Of course ScreenScape offers a LOT more than a brochure rack ever could. The advantages of dynamic content, video, specialized news, weather, etc. all in a simple attractive package controllable from anywhere on the planet… doesn’t need to be elaborated on here.)
