ScreenScape is a dynamic young startup that requires every one of its team to wear multiple hats and possess a self-starter attitude.

Primarily, this position involves playing a key role in the development of software components and data services for a Rich Internet Application that uses Adobe Flex technology on the front-end and Linux/Apache/MySQL/Java/ActionScript 3 on the back-end. Working well in a team environment, it requires strong leadership skills, critical thinking, and articulate planning. Best suited for a strong developer of object-oriented software with database design skills, it requires an expert proficiency in Java and a basic understanding of leading web application design patterns.

They will possess exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside ScreenScape.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for providing front line support to customers and administrating key business processes. Experience in marketing, accounting, bookkeeping or technology is considered an asset.

The position is full-time and based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of business development experience in the technology arena. They will be strategic thinkers and capable of identifying key opportunities that can drive the growth of our business.

Business Development at ScreenScape is primarily responsible for establishing and negotiating partnerships that enhance our product offerings, generate new revenue streams, drive distribution of the ScreenScape brand online and offline, generate new users for the company, or otherwise add value to the ScreenScape platform.

Experience in the Internet services, B2B eCommerce and/or Advertising arena is considered an asset.

The position is full-time and based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Responsibilities (sampling):

• Work with ScreenScape product team to identify partnership opportunities that can extend and enhance our platform
• Evaluate and explore strategic opportunities
• Represent ScreenScape in meetings with senior executives from other companies

Requirements:

• Willingness to travel

• Extensive knowledge of online business models and Internet services
• Proven track record with high standards of professionalism
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside ScreenScape

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
• Extensive negotiation experience, including comfort with legal aspects of negotiations
• Prior experience working in a high-growth or startup technology company preferred
