Lisa's Salon and Spa
Lisa MacLovin started as a hairdresser. Then she bought the salon where she worked. And then she opened three more. People say that her success can be attributed to her creative ideas, her salesmanship and her relentless pursuit of customer satisfaction which together form a powerful combination. She understands luxury goods and services and is always creating new ways to articulate their value which starts with a fun, professional, and dynamic work place.
Professionalism
The four sites that Lisa operates use ScreenScape-powered screen displays in a way that is elegant, subtle, and yet very pragmatic. "The professionalism is great but they are really there to make the customer feel welcome, a part of the family" she says. "And to sell, sell, sell".
Revenue
And she means it. Her screen displays are used to articulate the value of every sale item she offers. "And some that I don't" she laughs. Lisa has teamed up with other marketers who are also targeting consumers of so-called luxury goods to exchange content. She has made extra revenue by running ads for a travel company, a cosmetic company, a local five-star resort, and a jewelery store.
Program control
"Why not?" Lisa says. "The screens aren't just about pushing product. My customers linger in my salons for hours. They're a great conversation starter. They love to see a community event, or a birthday message on the screens, among entertaining programming. And they don't mind seeing advertisements that are relevant and informative. Somehow the local flavor, the fact that we're in charge of the content, makes all the difference."
