Suburb Cinema
Ernie Young owns and operates the Suburb Cinema. It's located on the outskirts of downtown, and both its programming and decor will remind you of independent cinema. One screen features new-release movies seven nights a week, while another is dedicated to second-run features and art flicks. There is a great games room off the lobby and the entire place can be rented for private parties.
Entertain guests
Ernie uses four screens, each powered by ScreenScape's hosted software. The screens generally tend to feature trailers for movies soon to arrive at the theater which are interspersed between a community notice board, his own custom advertisements, such as details for booking your next private party. There's also movie trivia slides fed by a popular web service.
Low cost
Ernie sees that his modest investment is paying off when he sees patrons in the line up at the concession stands gazing up at the screens. He can't get over how easy it was. "It's gotten a lot cheaper that's true, and a lot easier. Some of those larger chains have their fancy screens. You'd think it would be hard to keep it interesting without a big staff, but not with the Web these days. There's all kinds of content available".
