Group Licensing

ScreenScape Group Licensing - the Basics

If you are new to ScreenScape's Group Licensing options this blog entry will walk you through the basics.

An individual Basic membership to ScreenScape provides users with access to an account that lets them create and manage a single display. A Basic membership is well-suited for smaller organizations that want to put a screen or two up in their lobby, lounge, waiting room or hall. Every member of ScreenScape has access to the ScreenScape Community and so every member, even smaller organizations, can use ScreenScape to browse for and subscribe to interesting content, to link up with partners, and begin to cross-promote and collaborate with others in the network.

If a basic membership does all this...then what is the role and purpose of a Group?

A Group is designed to link multiple ScreenScape accounts together in order to help these accounts to work together. In simple terms a Group provides the Group Owner with a centralized means of distributing content to all members within their Group on an ongoing basis. This creates efficiencies in the management of content and broader reach as a mass marketing channel.

How does it work?

A special Group Account is used to facilitate content distribution. When a Group Owner creates content using their Group Account this content is automatically distributed to the displays within their network. A Group Account also features special group forming functionality which helps Group Owner's to invite new members to join their group.
